Albert Mau (Melbourne)
Prof Albert Mau, graduated from Pui-Ching [Baptist] Middle School in Hong Kong. He pursued further education in the USA, where he obtained a BSc degree in Physics from Baylor University, Texas, and subsequently, Master in Mathematics and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In 1971 Albert took up a Fellowship at the Research School of Chemistry at the Australian National University. In 1976 he joined the CSIRO, the Australian Premier Research Organization, and in 2006, resigned as a Chief Research Scientist and Fellow of CSIRO.
Albert is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Science and Engineering, In 1999 he was awarded the inaugural medal of contributing to Science and Technology by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. In 2003, he was the recipient of a Centenary Medal from the Australian Government to celebrate the hundredth year of the founding of the Federation of Australia. He has published over 150 papers in journals and books.
In 2006, Albert joined the Mandarin Ministry of the Haggai Institute as a regional Representative, and is now responsible to the regions in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Sichuan areas, working closely with the Heads of “2Cs” in the region. Albert is a specialist on China and evangelism in China.
Rev. Dr. Edward Yu (Sydney)
Born in Weihai, China, Edward Yu came to Haggai Institute from an illustrious career as a scholar and pastor. After 17 years in the pastorate, he became the first non-European president of the New South Wales Baptist Union in 1994. He later received a Doctor of Divinity from Hindustan Bible Institute. As Vice President of the institute's Manadarin ministry, Edward oversees one of the most sensitive parts of Haggai Institute’s work – the administration, recruitment, development and encouragement of alumni in the People’s Republic of China. He also lectures extensively at Mandarin seminars.
As the VP of Haggai Mandarin Ministry, Edward Yu oversees training implementations in China. He has recruited and empowered thousands of prominent Chinese men and women leaders. They emerge focused and equipped for evangelism. Collectively, they impact almost every profession and field of ministry in the People of Republic of China.
Edward and his wife, Dr Kitty Yu reside in New South Wales, Australia. When he is in Australia, he is available to share his over 30 years’ fruitful experience in doing advocacy and empowering leaders the marketplace for Global Evangelism. He teaches China Today, Biblical Mandate for evangelism, Leadership , Integrity of the Leader, Goal Setting and Christian Stewardship.
Rev. Frank Farag (Sydney)
Frank Farag, after training in Evangelical College in Cairo, Egypt, was ordained as a Baptist Minister in Cairo. He has a Masters degree in Leadership from the the Australian college of theology. While in Egypt he served in the Military and later moved to Australia where he became President of the Canterbury District Association of the Baptist Union. Frank has been involved in outreach to the Arabic community since 1988 when he was a Leader of the Arabic Outreach for the Seoul Olympics.
He serves currently in a number of capacities, which include being President of the Arabic Minister and Leaders Association, Chairman of the Australian Arabic Communication Centre and on the Baptist Union’s Cross Cultural Committee. He has been involved as a Sub-Editor for the New Arabic Version of the Bible and published books which include Wise Saying and the Word of God; Bible Verses for Evangelism and Outreach. He is currently working on two other publications that he soon hopes to publish. Frank is married to Lydia and has two adult sons.

Dr. Kuruvilla George (Melbourne)
Kuruvilla George was born in Singapore and did his schooling in Singapore. He completed his medical education in India and his post-graduation as a psychiatrist in UK. He currently lives in Australia, where he is the Director of aged person’s mental health for Eastern Health and Deputy Chief Psychiatrist for the state of Victoria in Australia. "KG" as he is fondly known is an Adjunct Professor at Deakin University, Clinical Associate Professor at Monash University and Adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame. His experience includes a period as Doctor, with Operation Mobilization’s first ship the MV LOGOS, Consultant Psychiatrist in the UK, and Clinical Lecturer to undergraduate medical personnel, as well as being a teacher of communication to Senior Hospital staff, Doctors, Dentists and medical students.
KG and his family lived in India for 9 years as missionaries from 1986 to 1995. KG was the full time general secretary of the Evangelical Medical Fellowship of India and travelled widely visiting medical colleges and mission hospitals ministering to health care professionals. He was on the boards of several Christian organizations including Hebron School, Emmanuel Blind Relief Society, Emmanuel Hospital Association, Asha Kiran Hospital and Interserve. Kuruvilla is married and has four grown children.
He has published several articles in Medical Journals and has lectured in the subject of Effective Communication for Evangelism at Haggai Institutes in India, Singapore and Maui since 1994.
George Mathew (Sydney)
George Mathew was born in India. He spent his early childhood in Ethiopia and Nigeria accompanying his parents on their employment. Upon his return to India, he studied electrical engineering at Mahatma Gandhi University. Based in Sydney since 2007, George is currently a digital strategist and head of enterprise mobility consulting at Infosys' Australia & NZ. He has held prior leadership positions including regional practice manager at Infosys Limited for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa where he was responsible for sales & strategy for products and platforms in 10 countries. He was also head of business transformation labs at Infosys’ labs, a financial journalist with Indian Express and oversaw the analyst operations of US technology advisory firm Gartner in India in the early 2000
George is also an expert on innovation and its role in competitiveness of nations. He is the author of “India’s innovation blueprint: How the world’s largest democracy is becoming an innovation super power (Woodhead-Chandos (UK) 2010) where he examines economic and social development through the lens of innovation. He also speaks at leading industry conferences around the world. George and his wife, Dipti, have two school going children. George has been associated with Haggai Institute since 1997. He has been a faculty on leadership in India since 2002 and faculty on Goal setting in Maui since 2008.
George Lee (Brisbane)
George Lee was born in Malaysia. He was the Senior General Manager of a Public Listed Company in Malaysia,
prior to being a “tent maker”, preaching and teaching God’s Word. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants (UK), and a graduate of the Asian Institute of Management, Manila where he was awarded the Masters degree in Management (with distinction). He also graduated at the Malaysian Baptist Theological Seminary with the Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies.
Before moving to Australia in 2009, George was an itinerant preacher and Church Elder serving the various denominational churches along the East Coast and Cameron Highlands of Peninsular Malaysia. His passion is to evangelize and he has involved in various evangelistic ministries, including the Prison Fellowship, Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI), and Nepali Migrant Workers Ministry in Cameron Highlands. George is married to Lesley, and together have committed to nurture their seven year old grandson in Australia for a time.
George is an international faculty with Haggai Institute and specalises in countering religious pluralism (the notion that all religions are the same) and helps his audiences understand the differences in Hinduism, Buddhism, Animism, New Age movements, Secularism (Atheism, Agnosticm and Free Thinker) and Christo-Paganism and Ancestor Worship.
Tacito Pinto (Adelaide)
Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Tacito Pinto graduated as an Electronic Engineer, furthered his studies in Finance, Strategy and People Management in Brazil, France (INSEAD) and internal training programs in Germany (with Siemens). He subsequently graduated from Law School, studied Constitutional Law and Lectured at the Catholic University in Sao Paulo (Brazil). Tacito authored two books concerning specific aspects of the Brazilian Constitutional Law. In 2008 Tacito got his Master’s Degree in Science of Religion at the Mackenzie Presbyterian University in Sao Paulo.
Throughout his career Tacito worked as General Manager Executive in Sales and Marketing, Strategic Planning and Human Resources for several Brazilian and Multinational companies and lectured in various MBA Programs. Presently, he consults on Organizational Behavior and is a Certified Executive Coach and a specialist in Executive Profile Analysis. Tacito is married to Glacy, a Biochemistry school teacher, and they have two married daughters and two grandchildren. He lives in Adelaide, where he works with the Evangelical Italian Community (preaching and teaching) and lecturing at Timothy School of the Bible.
He is affiliated with Haggai Institute in Brazil since 2001 where he provided lectures in National Seminars and Workshops, he is a former Chairman of the Brazilian Board and International Faculty in Maui.
